Ruvumvu-Musumba Project Updates

We’re excited to share progress of the Ruvumvu-Musumba project, our most recent water system that will serve over 3,300 citizens. The current projected completion date is April 2012. Many thanks to Gilbert Tuhabonye and Minnie Hollyman for providing the pictures!

Genocide Survivor and Book Author Gilbert Tuhabonye to Speak at The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum

GILBERT TUHABONYE TO SPEAK AT THE LYNDON BAINES JOHNSON LIBRARY AND MUSEUM

Genocide Survivor and Book Author
Elementary, middle and high school students are invited to hear Gilbert Tuhabonye, author of This Voice in My Heart:  A Genocide Survivor’s Story of Escape, Faith & Forgiveness, speak at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.There is currently one (1) scheduled.  Both programs will begin at 10:00 AM, will last approximately one hour and include a short Q&A session.

  • Wednesday, February 8, 2012–Middle and High School Students

Mr. Tuhabonye has spoken at the LBJ Library on one previous occasion and was very popular with both students and teachers.  His incredible journey is fascinating and inspiring.A minimum of 500 students is required for the free program.  (500 students from one school or 500 students from several schools)  All students must be with their school and/or teacher to attend.  One adult chaperone for every 10 students is required.

Teachers must register students online. An email confirmation will be sent to the teacher when registration information is complete.

The LBJ Library and Museum contains the papers of  Lyndon Johnson’s private and political life from his service in the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, Vice President, and President.  It also contains artifacts and documents beginning with his childhood and continuing after his retirement from public life.
