New Water Project Underway

We are proud to announce that a new water project is currently under construction in Burundi! In close proximity to where our first water system was built in Songa, this project will cover 1400 kilometers and provide for over 900 residents in the area. Featuring six different tap stands for the Nyamwango villagers, it will be their first time to ever have direct access to clean water for drinking, showering, cooking, and other day to day needs. The people of Nyamwango are referred to as Pygmes (or Batwa), the poorest of the three Burundian tribes which remains as one of the poorest countries in the world. Below are a few pictures of our new friends.

Our thanks goes out to the students, parents, and staff of St. Andrews Episcopal School in Austin, Texas for making this project possible through their generous giving!
