The 2010 Run for the Water 10-miler, 5K and Kid's K will be held in Austin on October 31, 2010 and is part of the Austin Distance Challenge. The Run For the Water was named "Best New Race" in 2007 and "Best Race Course" in 2008 by Austin Runner Magazine. Race committee members are working to make this year's event even better.

The Run for the Water benefits the Gazelle Foundation and will assist us with fundraising and awareness within the running community. Thanks to participation over the last three years we have been able to provide over 3,000 Burundians with access to clean water for their remainder of their life. This year's event is being produced by Gazelle Foundation volunteers and 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the Foundation. We will be using the same highly-praised course as last year consisting of a mix of flat streets and rolling hills through downtown Austin, scenic West Austin, with the start/finish on the South First Street bridge.

Walk-up registration will be available at packet pickup on October 29th, 30th, and 31st.
